Accountability.
Every contract is read, edited and approved by one of our advocates before it leaves the desk. The model does the heavy first pass — extraction, comparison, draft, in under two minutes. The advocate makes the calls — and is accountable for them, named and dated on every deliverable.
Sigil operates under the Indian Advocates Act, 1961. Our advocates are Bar Council-enrolled; the enrolment number is stamped on every deliverable and stored in the audit log alongside the advocate's name and date of approval.
Every edit, comment and approval is timestamped. You can export the audit log at any time — for a buyer, a regulator, or your own counsel of record.
On your data.
Your contracts stay on your engagement. Per-customer data isolation is the default — not a setting you have to ask for. Nothing crosses customer boundaries.
Every document arrives under a mutual non-disclosure agreement, encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Access is limited to the named advocate and engineer on your engagement. Every read, edit, comment and approval is timestamped in the audit log.
You can ask us to delete everything at any time. Standard retention is six months after engagement ends, after which a full export is delivered to you and the working copies are removed. Encrypted backups follow within ninety days.
Encryption
Encrypted in transit and at rest. Data stays in India.
Access
Named advocate and engineer only. Every action is logged. No shared playbooks.
Certifications
SOC 2 Type I in progress. ISO 27001 to follow. DPDPA-aligned from day one.
We will not claim a certification we do not yet hold. The data processing addendum and full security policy are available on request before engagement.
Questions.
A law firm sells a senior partner's time. We sell a turnaround. Where outside counsel takes the better part of three weeks on a standard MSA, Sigil returns one while the deal is still moving. The AI does the heavy first pass: extract every commercial term, cross-reference your playbook, score deviations by precedent, draft a complete redline. One of our advocates then reads the whole contract, edits where the model got it wrong, and approves it. The same playbook compounds across every contract, so the second MSA in your stack is faster than the first.
Sigil's model reads a thirty-page MSA in under ninety seconds. It pulls every commercial term — pricing, renewal, payment, liability cap, indemnity, IP, termination, governing law — into structured fields. It cross-references against your playbook and your prior signed positions, scores deviations by severity and precedent, and drafts a complete redline in tracked changes with reasoning per edit. It is trained on Indian commercial paper, cross-border MSAs, DPDPA and GDPR standards, and the redline patterns of senior in-house counsel. It does not approve anything on its own. Novel positions and commercial trade-offs go to the advocate — every time.
Yes, and most customers do. We handle the routine commercial paper — MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, vendor agreements, order forms, SOWs. Your firm continues to handle everything outside that scope: M&A, financing, litigation, regulatory work. When a contract on our desk turns into one of those, we hand it back to your firm with a clean summary and the audit trail.
Write back. Every redline ships with the reasoning, the playbook rule it followed, and the advocate's contact. We rerun the round. The playbook updates with your decision so we do not relitigate it next month.
One of our advocates, Bar Council-enrolled under the Indian Advocates Act, 1961. The AI drafts; the advocate reads the whole contract, edits the markup where it needs editing, and only then approves it. Their name, enrolment number, and date are stamped on every deliverable and stored in the audit log.
